Week 15 - Boy Scouts!

This week was pretty solid! I got to play a bunch of soccer with the street youths out here, and they all are super super good at ball handling. But their positioning is eh, so I can hang with em. I'm no soccer player but hey it was fun. We had a zone activity that was a good time. We sang Christmas carols at this clinic with sick people. Then after we ran out of gas in the streets and had to push the car through the busy streets of San Miguel, great memories!

We have 2 locked in baptisms this Saturday. Her name is Ana and she has a ten year old son named Abraham. They are so awesome. They do have some challenges though. Ana's spouse is a drunk and doesn't want her to have anything to do with the church. If he is home on Sundays, he will beat her if she goes to church. It is a very difficult situation but we are praying for them and believe that God will take care of them.

This week I read in Preach My Gospel that we should leave our areas better than we found it. Reminded me of the classic saying I always heard my dad say in Boy Scouts. I want to make sure that everywhere I go on my mission, and every time I leave an area it has improved. Right now Elder Ortega and I are working super hard. At times, we get rejected but its okay because we are finding people and it looks like we will be baptizing every week towards the end of this month and in December. I'm pretty happy about it. Hope you all have a great week! Nos vemos
