Week 21 - Great Ways to End the Year
Wow what a crazy week! I am feeling so good right now and the work is getting better and better out here. We worked so hard this week and we are seeing fruits from our labors. Here are some solid highlights/stories from the week.
First off, we have a problem. We officially found the fourth and fifth tarantula in the house. It seems that we are finding a new one every week, and these guys aren't easy to kill. The one we found last night was absolutely gigantic, easily the size of my hand... it's literally bad. I wanna tell the house owner, but in El Salvador I think he'd probably just tell me feed them or something I don't even know. I'm pretty sure there is a family of em hiding under our floor, yikes. So if you have any suggestions of what we can do, please tell me.
Second, this week I am happy to say we finally baptized Napoleon Sanchez. He was the first person I ever taught, and after fifteen weeks of lessons, prayers, and lots of faith on our part, he chose to be baptized. It was super awesome and the baptismal service was spiritual. He was scared and nervous, but he told us afterward that he felt super good inside. It was obvious that he was happier, we could literally see it in his eyes.
But anyway, so tonight is going to be full of parties and celebrations all around the world. We are hitting 2019 tonight at midnight! This year flew by, and I can say that it definitely was the best year of my life. I am a person that loves to set goals, and am all about self-improvement (mainly because I got a lot to improve). At home with music, sports, everything. I love it. Out here it's the same thing, I'm always setting goals to improve myself -- daily, weekly, and monthly. But as we head into this year, we have another opportunity to set goals; and to do what is necessary to achieve them and improve ourselves in some way. Without goals, we don't go anywhere so put down some specific goals for this month or year and write down what you need to do to get there. Then do it! Happy New Year! Love and miss you all. Nos vemos!
