This was officially the last week of the change. We found out in a few hours whether or not one of us will be moved to another area. Estamos cruzando los dedos! But this week was awesome, for real! With Light the World going on, we have had an FHE with a family each night so far this month of December which has been fun. I have been really focusing on studying my Spanish and doing my language studies, and it makes a difference every single day. I can see the Lord helping me a ton. And of course my personal study of the scriptures is something I look forward to every single morning. Super cool stuff.
Well, this week we ran into a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses or Testigos de Jehovah in Spanish. We always say hello but they really don't like the missionaries, at all. Elder Ortega and I studied a ton about their doctrine and beliefs so if any of them try to contend with us, we can machete them with scriptures in the Bible. Just the other day, two Jehovah's Witnesses passed by our house and when we opened the door -- Wow! You should have seen their faces! They were so scared for some reason, my comp and I were joking about it all day. And then we had a family home evening just two nights ago with a family who invited a few Jehovah's Witnesses to attend. They actually showed up! But as soon as they saw us they said "Nope. We see them, we will come back when they aren't here." I don't get it, but I think it is because we have a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that what we teach is true, and it pierces the hearts of those that we teach.
This week my companion and I had divisions with other members of the church because we had too many lessons that we couldn't get to. Busy day! I had the opportunity to go on my own with a member and teach our investigators. It was a great experience because I was really able to see where I'm at as a missionary and to see if I can hold my own, if you get what I'm saying.
And well, I got to speak in sacrament meeting which was a cool experience. Also, we have a locked-in wedding (first wedding of the mission!) for the 29th of December of a couple who wants to get baptized. Wow what an experience. I will have to tell the story another week. And we are finding so many others. It is clear to me that when we are working hard, the Lord provides. I hope you all have a great week! I attached all the pics from the past two weeks below if you wanna check them out. Love you all! Nos vemos!
