Week 40 - 9 Months and Counting
Well, el tiempo esta volando! This week went by crazy fast and what a good week it was. And Happy Mother's Day yesterday to all those mothers out there. Here are some quick updates.
Our investigator Magdaleno is incredible. We passed by yesterday to pick him up in the truck we use, but we arrived a little late and his grandson told us he had already started off for the church. He was sitting down waiting for the meeting to begin when we arrived. We have become closer friends this week and I feel like his grandson almost haha. His baptism is this upcoming Saturday and we are very excited for him.
On Thursday, I had the opportunity to go on interchanges with one of the missionaries in our zone. This time, I had the opportunity to head out on interchanges with somebody I already knew! Elder Larsen from Alpine, UT! We played on a flag football together a few years back and it was good to catch up and everything. This guy is a beast! Good times!
In El Salvador, Friday was Mother's Day. It is always the 10th of May here. We had a service activity in the morning where we went to a house of one of our recent converts and helped clean up her patio area. There was a lot of trash and rotten mangos that had fallen from the tree and so we took a few hours to clean up. It was a great time! We were laughing and I really felt the Spirit that service brings. This activity was one of the ways we ministered to them, and right now we need to understand the importance of ministering! In our ward, almost nobody is doing their part in ministering but it is seriously important. We need to take care of each other! It is something that is consistently talked about by our prophet and apostles, which means it is something that the Lord needs from us. In 3 Nephi 17 we can read about the way that the Lord ministered and how we can minister in our wards too. Have a good week everyone, love and miss you all. Nos vemos!
