Week 55 - La Union ft. Collins
This week has been a week full of changes! This week we have had some amazing experiences. Almost half the zone had changes and the new missionaries that came are super hyped and ready to work! My new companion is Elder Chavez from Ecuador and he is a cool dude. We get along well and we have a lot of goals out here in the area. Elder Collins also is one of the DLs in the zone which is SO nice! We have already spent a bunch of time together which has been fun.
This week we had an incredibly spiritual experience with our investigator Oscar. After a month of teaching him, he finally received his answer. Last week we watched a video about the life of Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Gospel. The next week we were talking with him on Wednesday night and I asked him if he was still praying and reading. He told me hadn't but then said, "Elder I've been meaning to tell you...That night when we watched the movie about the story of Joseph Smith, I felt something." He told us he felt sad and guilty for all the time he had criticized the prophet and he said later that night he cried. He said, "Who am I to criticize a man that has been called of God?" In that moment I felt so happy I couldn't hold back my emotions. God had answered his prayers and mine too! We asked him if he believed he was a true prophet and he said yes. He then confirmed that he believed the Church is true. I haven't felt more happy!!! I know he is gonna be baptized soon in September and I cannot wait! His family is gonna be sealed I can already see it! Enjoying every moment out here. Love you all! Nos vemos!
