Week 61 - Soya-PARTY

Buenas tardes everybody! This week has been marvelous and full of changes! On Monday night, it was made official. I was informed that I would be re-opening a new area with a companion who had little time in the mission. I left on Wednesday for my new area in Pepeto, Soyapango with my companion Elder Parra from Mexico who has 4 1/2 months in the mission. This zone is considered to be the most dangerous zone in all of the country, and probably one of the most dangerous parts of the world. But when I arrived, the members received us with much love. It was almost like family, and we haven't had to pay for a meal all week long! What a blessing! The ward is strong, and the members actually participate in missionary work and its fantastic! Although we are struggling to get to know our way around town, we are gaining progress and slowly finding more positive people to share the Gospel with.

We had an incredible conference weekend. I was able to watch the conference in english with a few other missionaries and I truly felt edified by the messages that were given. Among some of my favorite talks was Elder Holland, President Oaks, Elder Bednar, Elder Rasband, Elder Uchtdorf, Elder M. Russell Ballard, and Elder Andersen. Almost the entire Quorum of the Twelve haha. I hope you all enjoyed these messages as much as I did because it was a fantastic conference. Let's not forget to "pray every day, every day, every day" and to "read the Book of Mormon every day, every day, every day" and to "partake of the sacrament every week, every week, every week." I love and miss you all! Have a great week week! The photos are from when I was saying bye to all my great friends in San Miguel...Nos vemos!
