Week 62 - Wrong Doors

Buenas tardes everybody! This week was absolutely wonderful! We had a zone meeting with all the Elders and it was awesome. All of us are already pretty tight and good buds which makes it even better. There are a bunch of new guys too and so we are all pumped to echar fuego here in Soyapango. We also had a fun activity this week where we made pupusas and did some service for this recent convert (check the photos). ALSO, whoever can guess how many pupusas I have eaten in these 14 months will win 5 bucks...!!!

Anyway, we have had some super cool experiences this week and me and my comp love our area. We get along very well and have a good vision of what we want to achieve in the area and the zone. We have been visiting an investigator named Jose, he is 60 something years old and lives with his wife (check photo). They are like grandparents to us haha and love when we visit and share messages. Jose has attended church a few times and went to General Conference. He really felt the power when the Prophet spoke and loves everything about the church. We invited him to be baptized on the 26th of October and he accepted!

Here is something cool that happened too. We were on interchanges the other day and I was looking for a house where we had an appointment. I thought I had the right house and we knocked on the door. I quickly realized it was the wrong door but the man started to talk to us and then he even invited us in. After getting to know him, we talked about how many churches there are here and how he didn't like it. He said,"With so many churches around here, I wonder which one is the true church."I almost shouted for joy! He's totally prepared to hear the Gospel haha. I realized afterwards that what I thought was a "wrong door"was actually the door the Lord wanted us to knock on.

The members here are awesome and treat us like family, the work is improving a lot, and the Elders in the zone are awesome. I am really enjoying myself out here and the time has been flying. Have a great week everyone!! Nos vemos!!
