Week 65 - Bunnies and Baptisms
Buenas tardes everybody! This week has been fantastic! Here is a quick update:
This
week I have had the opportunity to kill, cook, and eat rabbit for the
first time haha. It was actually some of the best meat I have ever tried
in my life. Our investigator, Papa Chema, got three rabbits from this
one farm and they invited us over. As a celebration of his baptism this
past Sunday, we decided to cook it up and eat it together. It was a good
time.
So yeah, Jose got baptized this past
Sunday and it was awesome. The funny thing is the bishopric had left the
water in the font from the week before and so when I stepped into the
font I realized how cold it was. It was freezing!! Jose told me that it
was wayyyyyy too cold and I couldn't stop laughing haha. But the most
important part is that he was able to be baptized. He has been a huge
example for his family and he has a real testimony of the Gospel. We
continue teaching his wife and his grandkids have their baptism planned
for the 16th of November.
This week I was able
to feel the true spirit of ministering. We have had a lot of lessons
where we have invited members to visit with us and we truly saw
miracles. As soon as the members started to talk and get to know those
that we were visiting and invite them to church and other activities, we
felt the Spirit so strong. My testimony of ministering like our Savior
has really grown and I have been able to see the effects it has on those
around us. Have a great week everyone! Love you all!
