Week 67 - The Good and the Bad

Buenas tardes everybody, this has been a week full of trials and a week full of blessings and miracles. And it looks like I'm staying another change here in Soya. Here is a tiny bit of my week that I'd like to share:

This past Wednesday my companion and I decided to do a fast because we felt the need to do it. To end the night we had a lesson, and in the lesson we received good news and bad news. As we arrived to the lesson, we started talking with Hna Berta, the lady whose husband got baptized two weeks ago. We told us about her grandkids (a few teenagers) who we have been teaching and want to be baptized. She told us that the mom is against all of it and then out of nowhere the mom and dad started fighting and now they are separated at the moment. The kids are distraught because they want to be baptized but are having a lot of challenges. Satan is working hard in this family but we are gonna try harder so that the family can receive the Gospel blessings that they need and so that they can become baptized members of the Church of Jesus Christ.

After telling us the bad news, we decided to share with her again about the Restoration. The lesson was very spiritual and towards the end we got to the topic of eternal families. We had already talked about baptisms for the dead but we invited her in this very moment to be baptized on the 23rd of November. And then we invited her for the 30th to help and do the work for her mother who passed away years ago so that her mom too can receive the blessings of the Gospel on the other side of the veil. We saw that the Spirit hit her hard and right then she accepted. After 3 months of saying not yet, not yet, not yet, she felt the Spirit tell her that now is the time. It was a great experience and also a blessing from the fast that we had done that day.

There have been so many other experiences this week that have strengthened my testimony but I am just going to leave it at that and I hope you all have an amazing week. The Church is true!! Nos vemos!
