This cambio went by much faster than the first. I think everything is going to start picking up. This is my companions last change before he heads home to Guatemala so I hope he wants to work hard and baptize! We are still struggling to find success here in Jiquilisco but we talk to literally everyone and they all say the same thing. "Casi no pasamos por la casa" or "Yo me bautice" all that jazz. But we are working on it. The advice from our leaders is helping a lot, and we are always thinking of different ways to do missionary work.
This week I had the opportunity to baptize a little girl whose name is Alejandra. She is 8 years old and lives in a part-member family. We just need to get her dad baptized and then all will be good haha. But yeah she is super crazy. She reminds me a TON of my sister, Ellie. She is basically the El Salvador version of her, for real. She told my companion that she wanted me to baptize her and so I did! The baptism was super simple, but the Spirit was there and she was super super happy. It was a cool experience.
One of our investigators, Napoleon Sanchez, is still debating baptism. He says he doesn't feel ready, but he totally is. He comes every week to church in his white button up and he looks super fly and happy its so awesome. We just need to get him in the font!
This week we traveled a ton. We went to San Salvador twice, which is a 3 hour bus ride, and then to Usulutan and San Marcos (other nearby towns) for meetings and different stake activities. But it is definitely getting better out here. At times the lack of success is frustrating, but everyday I see little miracles. And sometimes big ones. It is awesome, we are here to find the "escogidos" which basically means the people whose hearts are prepared to accept the Gospel. Hopefully we find some this week. Miss you all a ton! Hope you have a great week!
