Week 50 - Spiritual Experiences
Buenos dias everyone! It's been a good week! We had a baptism on Saturday which went really great. We arrived at the church along with the family, and realized that the dress for the girl that was gonna be baptized was a bit too big. We also left one of the shirts for the other young man. We were a little worried honestly and rushed back to the house to find another option. After searching and searching, we found the something that would do and the baptism went on. Many members and family arrived to support and the service was spiritual. There are all now officially members of the church!
On Friday night, we had a very special lesson with the Vasquez Family. There are only 3 people in this family: the parents, and the son. The father of the family, whose name is Oscar, is not a member but knows a ton about the church. We decided to share the message of the Restoration, and we planned it well. As we finished telling the story of Joseph Smith and bearing our testimonies, I saw the tears stream down the mom's face. The spirit was present, and it was very very strong. We looked into Oscar's and testified to him that we know, and I could see that he felt the Spirit. We invited him to church and he knew he needed to go. Without doubting, he said yes. Yesterday the whole family arrived together at church. What an experience!
I officially have one year left in the mission and I can't even grasp the fact that I have been out here a year. There are a lot more things I want to do and achieve before I go, so I gotta keep studying, working, and trying to be better everday. Have a good week everyone! Love you all! Sorry for no photos... they wouldnt load! Nos vemos!
