Week 56 - Cool Week
Hey everybody! This week has been quite the week here in San Miguel. There isnt a lot of news but it was a good week nonetheless. To start things off, I got to go on interchanges with my brother Elder Collins. We had been waiting for this opportunity forever so it was so awesome to work with him. It was crazy to think about how we got called to the same mission, at the same time, and then we got to be comps for the day and work together.
To end the night with Elder Collins, we visited our investigator Oscar. We had plans to put a baptismal date now that he has received his answer. We had another great spiritual lesson and invited him to be baptized, but he said no. I was a little disappointed because he knows its all true. He isn't sure what is holding him back but he said he needs to get his life in order first. If you all could keep Oscar Vasquez and his family in your prayers that would be wonderful.
We are currently teaching a new guy named Antonio as well. Antonio has around 55 or 60 years, and he is super funny and easy going. He is a fantastic listener and asks great questions. We get along well haha! He is super positive and has already come to church twice. He has a baptismal date for the 21st but he has doubts because he has already been baptized in another church. Yesterday in the class he told me he wants to get his whole family here because they really need Christ in their lives. We will see what happens this week with Antonio and his family.
I've been thinking a lot and I realized that I really like teaching the Gospel and helping people understand the true doctrine. The knowledge of God's plan for us brings so much peace into one's life. I feel like I am actually doing something good and I know it will change the lives of many. Being a missionary is pretty dang cool :) Have a good week everyone. Nos vemos!
