Week 60

It´s officially week 60 everybody! We have been having a lot of success this week and we were able to see a few miracles too!

As a mission, we have implemented what is called a ¨ministering attack¨. I will explain what it is by giving an example of what we did this past week. After one of our district meetings, we had planned to do the attack with a family of investigators, but they weren't going to be home. We weren't sure who we could visit, but we all felt like it would be a good backup plan to visit this one guy on the list named Jose de la Cruz. On our way there we bought cookies and juice so we could share a small moment with him. When we arrived I could see he was very surprised (but happy) to see 8 missionaries at his front door. We got to know him a little more, talked, shared the snack we bought, and we had a good time and laughed. After a little while, we just asked if we could just talk 1 on 1 me and him. As I was doing this small interview, I told him he should be baptized and become a member because he already had gone to church many times and believed everything. Out of nowhere he said, ¨Yeah I would like to.¨I told him lets do it this Sunday, and boom yesterday he got baptized and confirmed as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Super cool moment for the district!

That same day, Elder Collins and I had interchanges together which is always a good time. We locked in the two baptisms in their area so shout-out to those guys! On Saturday, we also had a baptism! Another miracle there as well! The parents did not want to give permission because they said he wasn't ready yet but he really had a desire to follow Jesus Christ. The morning of the planned baptism, the family called us telling us that Walter was gonna be baptized, wow! We were pumped! His parents (check photo) who we are teaching are going to get married and baptized in this upcoming month which is awesome for them too!

Overall we had an awesome and very busy week! And sadly I have changes... I will be leaving San Miguel after 6 months on Wednesday. It is a bummer but I am excited for a new area and environment to work in! Have a great week everyone, love and miss you all!! Nos vemos!
