Week 34 - April!
Buenos dias! Another week down here in Moncagua and all is well.
Anyway, the truth is nothing too special happened this week, but it is a good time of year here in El Salvador. It's mango season! All the mangos are growing on the trees and they're so good. We were giving service the other day to a member, and during our break he gave me the most delicious mango ever. I can't even describe it. This fruit was desirable above all other fruit haha ;) But wow, it was bomb.
Other than that, there are no crazy stories or anything. We worked really hard and literally the week flew by. Yesterday as I was eating lunch and looking at the plans for the day, I just felt something tell me that we need to go to this place called El Tejar. There we have zero investigators, zero members, we only had one scheduled lesson with a family during the next week. We decided to go anyway. We ended up visiting this family early, and at the end we asked them if they knew anyone that could benefit from our message. She gave us the reference of a house that years earlier were listening to the missionaries. We headed down the road and knocked on the door. Immediately, a girl ran out and invited us in. We assumed she already knew who we were, but she said she never had spoken with missionaries like us. She later told us that her and her spouse had been thinking about joining a church but didn't know which one to join. We couldn't have arrived at a better time. The Lord had been preparing this young lady to accept the gospel, and he guided us to her house yesterday. He works in mysterious ways.
Also, this week we have the opportunity again to listen to the Prophet and twelve Apostles on Saturday and Sunday. There is no doubt in my mind that these men are called of God and receive revelation from God. The Lord wants to give us more guidance and knowledge and he does it through the mouths of his servants! Let's take advantage of this weekend and listen carefully to what he has to say. The Church is true!! Have a good week, love you all! Nos vemos!
